2015 Burnished SAE
The United States Mint recently released the popular Burnished, Uncirculated Silver American Eagle, featuring the "W" mint mark on the reverse of the coin. The production of the coin had been cancelled in 2009 and 2010 due to high demand for the bullion version of the Silver Eagles, but has been made available again each year since 2011. Now you can add 2015 W Burnished Silver Eagles to your collection!
The term burnished refers to the specialized minting process used to create these coins - they are produced from special burnished blanks at the U.S. Mint facility in West Point. Although they are similar in appearance to the ordinary Uncirculated (BU) Silver American Eagle Bullion Coins, the burnished coins can be distinguished by the addition of a 'W' mintmark on the reverse, as well as by the satin-like field behind the frosted features on the coin. Burnished Silver Eagles are made expressly with collectors in mind.
Like all Silver American Eagles, the 2015 W Uncirculated Burnished Silver Dollars contain one troy ounce of .999 pure silver and sport a reeded edge. The weight, content and purity of every Silver American Eagle is guaranteed by the United States Government. The coins feature Adolph A. Weinman's "Walking Liberty" design on the obverse, and John Mercanti's design featuring a "Heraldic Eagle with Shield, symbolizing strength and endurance" on the reverse.
The Burnished Silver Eagles are available in OGP non-certified or certified as either MS69 or MS70 in several label designs, including First Day Issues and Early Releases. Some designs are SilverTowne Exclusives! Don’t miss out on this exciting release – Order Your 2015 W Uncirculated Burnished Silver American Eagles today!
